27.08.2004 - I've started doing some Photoshop artwork for competitions within the automotive forums. Modifying cars with the computer is something I've been doing ever since I began work on the Nissan websites. From basic colour change requests for swatch picker functionality, it grew into a game for all sorts of modifications.

Fast Fours magazine (Australia) runs a chop competition. This is my August 2004 entry. The rear wheel was hand coloured. The front brakes were added (including reflections). Rear door removed. Hand drawn side skirts and air intake. Modified windows and reflections.

This game was one of my first tries at adding features by hand (ie, drawing them, rather than chopping them off another source photo). Besides the obvious colour change, I added the skirts and air vent. I also had a go at tinting the windows and adding reflections to make it more believable.

I won a free sausage at the next BBQ for this effort.

The front bar let me down on this one. The skirt worked nicely though and I was happy with the wheels and the flared rear arch.
